The results of the 2016 National Student Survey reveal which UK universities are keeping their students the most satisfied.
At the two universities with the joint highest scores, 97 per cent of taught students either definitely or mostly agreed that they were satisfied overall with the quality of their course.
So, which UK universities have the happiest students?
The University of Buckingham in the south of England increased its overall satisfaction score from 95 per cent in 2015, and jumped from third to joint first place, alongside the University of Law.
The University of Law, which has branches in Birmingham, Bristol, Chester, Guildford, Leeds, London and Manchester, increased its satisfaction score by 9 per cent, rising from 47th place last year.


In total, about 312,000 final-year students from 155 institutions responded to the survey. The table below excludes further education colleges and small or specialist colleges. The results below are ranked only by overall satisfaction.
Even at the institutions with the lowest scores, between 71 per cent and 75 per cent of students were generally satisfied. 
Of all the respondents to the survey, 86 per cent said they were satisfied overall with their course.
